Bone clinics can help to fight common disease

Osteoporosis is a common problem affecting men and women.

According to the World Health Organization, osteoporosis is the most common disease in the western hemisphere. This is a disease of the skeleton where bone breakdown is greater than the bone being rebuilt.

Osteoporosis can be easily diagnosed, treated and managed. A category of medication called “biphosphonates” are proving quite successful in preventing fractures and increasing bone mineralization. As for any other drug, this one has to be prescribed by your physician.
